The Financial Assistance Unit provides the following services:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Cash Assistance
  • Emergency Assistance
  • Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
  • Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP)
  • Child Support Program
  • Funeral and Final Disposition Assistance

Adult Foster Care License:

 Minnesota Access to Communication Technology

Is it hard to use your phone due to a hearing loss, speech or physical disability?

Minnesota Access to Communication Technology (MN ACT) and the Minnesota Department of Human Services Telephone Equipment Distribution Program provide FREE phone devices to Minnesotans who qualify. For more information, contact our agency at (218) 694-6164.

Tri-Valley is available for transportation needs and can be reached at 1-800-201-3432 to arrange rides.


Medical Appointment Transportation:
Clearwater County Human Services will arrange for transportation to medical appointments for individuals eligible for medical assistance access services.  Call Clearwater County Human Services for more information or to arrange a ride.
